Positive Reinforcement

Lately we’ve have been struggling with independence. My little bear wants to be more autonomous and have things his own way. I’m sure parents of little have experienced this. I’ve found that positive reinforcement is a huge motivator for him. Acknowledging when he is making good choices and redirecting when making not so good choices. As I’ve mentioned he just turned five so I’ve incorporated iPad bucks to provide a tangible value to the good choices. For incentive, he has to earn 5 iPad bucks before he can have free play on his iPad. These bucks reset everyday and can be lost and regained throughout the day. So far it has been working well.
